OMPP WOFP - Organizacion Mundial por la Paz

Programme for a Better Future and a World at Peace

Presented by Dr. Alejandro Roemmers,
Ambassador for a Culture of Peace OMPP WOFP

We wish to thank Eng. Carlos Tello, Secretary General of the Presidency of OMPP WOFP and Controller for Mexico and the Caribbean countries, for his call for an immediate ceasefire in all conflicts. Likewise, the Ambassador for a Culture of Peace and General Director of the World Interfaith Council, Dr. Alejandro Roemmers, who has proposed a worldwide embrace for Peace and has already set in motion this programme that we support – that sound and wise Franciscan concept, open to the world, in which we are all brothers and sisters.

To embrace those we love. To embrace those we do not know. To embrace those who are different. To embrace those who think differently. To embrace those who were adversaries. To embrace those from other nations, of other ethnicities, cultures, beliefs and religions, those who live a situation very different from our own.

Because every embrace recalls a truth we should never forget:

The other is also you.

Perhaps millions of embraces will not by themselves solve the world's problems, but they can change our hearts. And when hearts change, history begins to change!

We also thank the Secretary General for India, Nisha Kothari de Prakash, for her programme of support to convene the foremost Religions of India in October (Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains) for the worldwide embrace of Peace, supporting Ambassador Alejandro Roemmers with the worldwide embrace for Peace.
